Why is ida-reader different?

ida-reader© is a multi platform user-friendly software product that has the ability to read aloud text content from a variety of file formats like ePub 2 / ePub 3,  and Daisy 2.0/2.02, Daisy 3.0.

This multi format reader application has several attractive features such as read aloud while highlighting text, bookmarks, text search, library etc., which have been incorporated keeping in mind the special needs of the people faced with challenges in reading text, like dyslexia. It reads aloud full text using TTS or SAPI and also plays back pre-recorded audio like a conventional Daisy Player.

From a publishers and institutional standpoint, the software does file encryption at multiple levels and protects content which is critical to copyright laws.

Our team has been working diligently to improve upon the features based on the feedback we received from our customers and user groups. We are delighted to share the following key developments –

1. ida-reader© is now available on both MAC and PC platforms.
2. ida-reader© has now the ability to read ePub files along with the Daisy file reading capability.
